Perfect Peace

Perfect Peace

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee."Isaiah 26:3

Can I challenge your perspective on peace? We lack peace because we don’t actually believe God is going to take care of us. To deal with that, we must go to the Word and find out the promises of God. Go to Scriptures to find out what God says about what troubles you then take God at His Word, believing that what He has said, He will do. Don’t worry, instead make your requests, and then rest on His peace. Phillipians 3:6-7, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Prayer will always precede peace. We are not going to have peace just because we are believers. We are going to have peace as we come to God and truly trust in Him. We can depend on His peace, we can rest completely in His peace. You don’t have to know what is going to happen next, God knows. You don’t have to figure it all out, God has taken care of that. All you have to do is depend on His peace. The peace does not come from the assurance that you are going to get what you want, the peace comes from the assurance of who God is and what God has promised.

Depend on His peace and trust in His protection. When you come to Him in prayer He will protect your mind and your heart. He will put His guard over you. Worry is a mind killer. We waste our thoughts on possibilities and doubts, leaving us wide open to the attacks of Satan. We fill our hearts with fears and find ourselves on emotional roller coasters. God has given us the solution to those things. Go to Him with your needs, make your requests known and trust in Him. God will completely keep His promises, including the one to never leave or forsake you. Trust in His presence to be always caring for and protecting you.
